Spain’s Naturgy energy group has won a tender to supply Grupo Correos, the Spanish postal service, with approximately 290 GWh of renewable power over the next two years, backed up with guarantees of origin.
As part of the EUR 48 million deal, Naturgy will supply GO-backed power to all of the postal service’s facilities throughout Spain, with an option to prolong the contract for another two years, the company announced last week.
In 2019, Spain produced approximately 98 TWh of renewable power, reaching 75.5 TWh in the first eight months of this year, according to the national TSO, Red Eléctrica de España.
