Germany’s RWE Supply & Trading has entered a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) covering the estimated 190,000 MW/year production from a new Dutch wind farm slated for completion in January 2022.

Germany’s biggest power producer on Tuesday said it “expects to market both the electricity and the associated guarantees of origin to its large industrial and municipal customers”.

RWE already operates seven wind farms in the Netherlands, supplies major customers directly with green electricity and associated GOs via PPAs, including Deutsche Bahn and Bosch.

Since spring 2020, RWE Supply & Trading has also been marketing the electricity and guarantees of origin generated by the Belgian Northwester 2 wind farm.
