(Montel) The issuance of Swedish-Norwegian Elcerts fell to 4.7m certificates in March, down 0.1m from the previous month, official data showed this week.
Wind power plants received 3.4m certificates last month, while hydropower plants received 0.7m, the same as in February.
Meanwhile, biofuelled plants saw the number drop to 0.54m in March from 0.57m the previous month.
A total of 3.6m certificates were allotted to Swedish plants, while Norwegian plants received 1.1m.
The benchmark 2021 Elcert contract was last seen at SEK 15.50/MWh (EUR 1.43), down SEK 2.50 since the start of the month.
Under the joint Norwegian-Swedish support scheme, producers of renewable energy are eligible for one tradable certificate for each MWh they generate.
The certificates are sold to consumers who are required to cover a certain amount of their power use from plants supported by the scheme.
